Job description

Your Function

Ready to turn a complex supply chain transformation into a success?

At Van de Velde, we're preparing our operations for future growth. As part of this journey, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager Operations to lead large-scale transformation projects within our supply chain and distribution environment.

Your initial focus will be a strategic, multi-year program linked to the future development of our distribution center in Wichelen. You'll bring structure to complexity, align stakeholders across the business and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and with lasting impact.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys driving change from strategy through to implementation.

Your role

As Project Manager Operations, you take end-to-end ownership of complex cross-functional projects. You translate business needs into clear project plans, coordinate stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain and IT, and ensure successful delivery from start to finish.

You create structure, manage risks, monitor progress and keep teams aligned towards shared objectives. While you don't need to be the technical expert, you understand logistics processes and systems well enough to challenge, facilitate and support decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate complex operations and supply chain transformation projects.

  • Define project scope, governance, planning, milestones and deliverables.

  • Manage timelines, risks, budgets, dependencies and stakeholder expectations.

  • Facilitate collaboration between business teams, IT, process owners and external partners.

  • Structure and coordinate large projects into manageable workstreams and phases.

  • Monitor project progress and provide clear reporting to management and steering committees.

  • Drive user adoption by supporting testing, communication, training and change management activities.

  • Escalate issues when needed and ensure project objectives remain on track.

Your Profile

  • A minimum of 10 years of proven experience managing complex transformation, implementation or operational projects.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics or distribution environments.

  • Experience working on system implementations and business process improvements.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Strong project planning, governance and risk management capabilities.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, create structure and maintain momentum.

  • Hands-on, pragmatic and result-driven mindset.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English.

    Who are you?

You are someone who thrives in complex environments and naturally brings clarity, ownership and structure.

    You are:

    • Analytical and solution-oriented.

    • Diplomatic but able to challenge when necessary.

    • Strong in stakeholder management at all levels.

    • Pragmatic and action-focused.

    • Comfortable working in an environment where not everything is defined yet.

    • Motivated by delivering tangible results and lasting impact.

Our Offer

  • A permanent full-time contract.

  • A competitive salary package tailored to your experience.

  • Company car with fuel or charging card.

  • Meal vouchers (€10/day).

  • 20 vacation days + 9 ADV days.

  • Hybrid working model with homeworking possibilities.

  • Group insurance and hospitalization insurance.

  • Net expense allowance.

  • The opportunity to shape one of Van de Velde's most strategic operational transformation projects.

  • Significant impact, autonomy and growth opportunities within a transforming international organization.

Ready to build the future of our operations? We'd love to hear from you.
